Choosing the right insulation material

When it comes to the purchasing of hot or cold insulation materials it becomes difficult for you if you do not know about both of them. The good thing both these insulation material is that they will going to save you money in future but still it is necessary for you to choose the one which is practical. In addition you also need to choose the one which is more cost effective to your piping system.

Hot insulation materials

As far as removable insulation is concerned it is specially made for the insulation of the piping systems and moving gas and other substances at relatively high temperature. The material from which insulation work is made prevents the overheating of the pipe and maintains the warmth inside the pipe. Pipe insulation has also become very popular these days. This result in the cut down of the electricity bills and you end up saving money. Some materials which are used at the time when there is requirement of hot installation are

Cray Flex

(1) This material is known to have resistance to heat, thermal and chemical.

(2) Resin bonder Rockwool

It is used in both hot and cold insulation and also has great resistance towards thermal, heat and chemical.

(3) Spiral wraps fibreglass

Although this is difficult to install but it is highly reasonable in price for your needs of home insulation.

If you are choosing a hot insulation material you need to know the highest temperature which the insulation will take care of. If the components are less than 350 degree Fahrenheit you can cover it with fibreglass. In the same manner if the components are around 1000degree Fahrenheit

Cold Insulation materials

The material used to get cold insulation depends on the system of pipes which are to be insulated. Due to this the material used on hot or cold insulation depends on the modification of the particular system of piping. The most common materials used in cold insulation are

Polyurethane foam

It is perfect to tackle low thermal conductivity and also the substances that have freezing temperatures.

Rubber foam

It is used for the control of condensation.
